Privacy — How Aeon Protects Your Family

Aeon was built by a father. We treat your family's privacy the way we'd want our own treated.

What we collect

• Your child's first name and age range (so Soc can greet them personally)
• Optional interests (so Soc knows your kid loves dinosaurs, not just fractions)
• Emotional patterns during sessions (general mood — not specific words)
• Session milestone data (achievements, not transcripts)

What we DO NOT collect

• We do not store conversation transcripts. Ever.
• We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties. Ever.
• We do not use your family's interactions to train AI models.
• We do not track your browsing, location, or device data.

Where your data lives

Your family's data is stored on a private, encrypted server controlled exclusively by our team. No third-party cloud services have access to your data. In future versions, we plan to offer fully on-device hosting so your data never leaves your home.

Guardian system

Every message to Soc passes through our Guardian system, which evaluates for safety concerns. The Guardian sees patterns, not content — emotional trends, not specific words. If a safety concern is detected, a gentle flag is surfaced to you through Liora. Your child is never made to feel surveilled.

Your rights

• You can view everything we store about your family at any time
• You can request complete deletion of your family's data — we'll wipe it within 24 hours
• Your child cannot create an account without your consent
• You control what level of memory Soc maintains about your child

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Aeon requires parental consent for all accounts. Children interact with Soc through a parent-created account. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and collect only the minimum information necessary to provide a safe, personalized experience.
